Louis Faurer, Family, Times Square, New York, ca. 1949-1950
The 2002 book ”Louis Faurer” from the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston reproduces a print in their collection (page 163), with this image flipped horizontally (text on the signs is backwards). The 2009 book, “Street Seen: The Psychological Gesture in American Photography,” based on a Milwaukee Art Museum exhibit, reproduces a print from the Philadelphia Museum of Art’s collection that matches the version above.
